1. our face is the most exposed area of our body to the sun. Because it is exposed to the sun not only when we taking sun bathes, but it is exposed to the sun every time we "see" the sun and we are not in the shade. That can be when we walk on the street, when we drink a cup of coffee in the street cafe, when we walk with our pets.
2.our face is a very fragile thing, it is the first part of our body that shows signs of ageing (especially eye area)
3. it can be easily burnt (especially nose part).
We need to protect our faces and here is how to get a nice tanned face and minimize ageing risk:
1. As I wrote in the first article of PERFECT TAN series: you should use face scrub at least 2 times a week.
My recommendation is CLINIQUE Exfoliation Scrub.

The second best is Lancaster Sun Beauty Care Active Anti-Age.
Or alternatively you can use MJP (Methode Jeanne Piaubert) MJP SUNCARE Anti-Ageing Facial Sun Cream.

A quick tip: I know it is not easy to find sun protective eye cream, but there is a solution (maybe a better one than special eye cream): you can MIX your regular eye cream with face sun protection cream and you will get a perfect product (but do not mix gels with creams) . My recommendation for eye cream is Methode Jeanne Piaubert Suprem Advance eye cream. It perfectly mixes with Lancaster products.
4. When you face tans, try to lift your care as much as possible, so that there will be no white "marks" ander your hair ( you should use any kind of bands for holding your hear)
5. After SUN: Always wash your face and apply after sun cream after sun bathing. That can be a special product like Lancaster Tan Maximizer ( you should use it at least for a week if you want to see the result and it worth the wait) or just your regular day or night cream.
6. use at least every second day a facial mask that moisturizes hydrates your skin. My personal recommendation is the use of Crystal Collagen masks, like the one on the picture. You can quite cheaply buy it on ebay and they make miracles. You can use it 2-3 times, just put back it in the fridge. On the 2nd - 3rd time it will completely dissolve on you face!!!
Keep up reading! Next article will be about body protection
awesome. you are right on that our face is our first business card! I sometimes buy things just because i like how the sales person look. LOL.
ReplyDeleteYou've listed some good products here. But don't just tan your face, it will be awfully funny to have a tan face and a pale body.
My next post will be about body tan ;-)
ReplyDeleteI also heard from my girl that exfoliating regularly can help achieve a perfect tan. She actually has that Clinique bottle. These tips are very useful for me because I will be trying out tanning this month with my girl.
ReplyDeleteGreat! I hope to publish this weekend an update about body tanning! I was really busy last half an year that had no time for blog updates. Shame on me!
